Your Turn: Should Vail Take Over Park City Mountain Resort?

New, 21 comments

The drama continues in the battle over Park City Mountain Resort, and this time it came as part of the larger pen-pal feud between the CEO of PCMR parent Powdr Corp, John Cumming, and the CEO of Vail Resorts, Rob Katz. Katz has been writing letters to Cumming, and Cumming finally responded on Friday by saying that Powdr will not "cave in, and we won't agree to a Vail takeover." You can check out more info on the latest letter over here, but frankly, the back-and-forth exchanges between CEOs hasn't provided much new information and its increasingly looking like a battle between two industry giants: Powdr Corp and Vail Resorts. So instead of rehashing the same old crap, we've decided to turn it over to you, the devoted skiing population. What's your take on this drawn-out lease drama? Tell us in the comments below and vote in our poll, after the jump: If Vail prevails in court, should Park City Mountain Resort become part of Vail Resorts?

Need more info before you vote? Check out our full coverage of the PCMR-Talisker battle, over here. And for a quick run-down on how PCMR, Powdr Corp., Vail Resorts, and Talisker all got involved, this is a good place to start.
