Norman Jaffe-Designed Beach Pad Gets a $1M Price Increase


Designed by late starchitect Norman Jaffe—who made a name for himself thanks to the many homes he designed for wealthy Hamptonites throughout his career—this Southampton, N.Y. beach house just hopped back on the market for an optimistic $26M. In July 2013, the 5,800-square-foot spread listed for $24.95M, but failed to find an interested buyer. And hey, while it seems like a distinctly bad idea to turn around and ask for even more money, the five-bedroom home does boast such perks as soaring cathedral ceiling, a grand reception hall, and "quintessential Jaffe" natural wood and stone detailing.
