Designer Trip Haenisch—who counts stars like Courteney Cox among his many loyal clients—recently gave Domaine a grand tour of his personal, hilltop home in Los Angeles. Built in 1959, the structure has remained pretty much untouched, save for a "fresh facelift" that involved whitewashing the walls and updating the flooring with wide oak planks—all of which serve a neutral, understated backdrop for his ridiculously extensive trove of art and furniture. "I've been collecting art for years," says the designer of his quirky pieces and crowded walls. "I see a lot, a learn a lot, I buy a lot."
In Haenisch's bedroom, a jagged, natural wood headboard and disco ball-shaped glass light fixture speaks to his "fondness for the untraditional," while his (very lucky) son's room is mainly given over to a boxing ring-shaped bed bought for a staggering $13,619. See the entire home, right this way.
