The external glass panels protruding off of London's Renzo Piano-designed Shard tower have been found to "act as mirrors, giving a line of sight straight back into neighboring rooms" in the recently opened Shangri-La hotel, which is housed between the 34th and 52nd floors. To ameliorate this latest in a long line of mishaps to befall the often reviled but notably championed tower, the general manager recommends putting down the blinds. [Financial Times; previously]
