It's once again time for Outside magazine's "Best Towns Tournament," and the results for Round 1 are in. Nearly 400,000 reader votes went toward choosing the nation's most desirable places to live by region, and in the West and parts of the East, mountain towns mostly beat the pants off of their rivals. Although Provo, UT bested Jackson, WY (it does get cold up there), winners included Taos; Bend; Missoula; Durango; Boulder, and Burlington. [Outside Online]
