City staff and downtown stakeholders in Steamboat Springs are currently brainstorming ways to make the Yampa Valley town more pedestrian friendly. The city has about $900,000 worth of voter-approved lodging tax money to spend on the streets in the next few years, and current ideas include new parks, sidewalk and lighting improvements, and increased river access.
