Thanks to a rapidly recovering housing market (an understatement considering the recent sales of $120 mansions and $147M Hamptons plots) L.A. is enduring a resurgent "mansionization." If "huge, ugly boxes" keep cropping up, one home owner argued to the L.A. Times, smaller homes "won't be salable for anything but tear-downs."
