Frank Gehry's twisted, stack-o'-shapes design for what's set to be the tallest residential tower in Germany has been put on hold due to fears that a metro tunnel running underneath the site could be crushed under its weight. Developer Hines Property Group has responded by commissioning a survey of the area, in an attempt to keep the tower from joining the swelling ranks of recently scrapped Gehry designs.
