The Long Island mansion that starred in the 1986 Steven Spielberg-directed, Tom Hanks-starring comedy The Money Pit is about to hit the market for $12.5M. The home is just about the most important character in the movie, the source of conflict in a plot all about a couple who faces disaster after disaster trying to fix up their home. There's no official listing yet, though The New York Times writes that the 1898 abode in Lattingtown, N.Y., has been "totally redone, meticulously designed and decorated with a Versace-esque flair."
