Construction is underway on Shenzhen's Ping An International Finance Center, which is slated to become the third tallest building in the world, and the aim, according to Design Boom, is to complete one floor every four days. Progress on the tower was halted in 2013 by the discovery of substandard concrete, and even if it reaches its projected completion date of 2016, it could have its spot as the tallest building in China overtaken by the Sky City Tower, if that once fast-tracked project ever gets off the ground.
