A combined church, mosque, and synagogue is being built in Berlin, with all three houses of worship connected to a central meeting space. Architect Wilfried Kuehn explains his design—which surely rates among the most avant-garde contemporary religious buildings—to the BBC as "going back to the origins when these three faiths were close and shared a lot architecturally."
