Peek Inside the Mansion of FOOD & WINE's Hottest Party

New, 1 comment

After a weekend full of parties, over-indulgence, and A LOT of booze at the FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen, Colorado, Curbed Ski has a peek inside one of the hottest events of the classic: Thursday's Wines from Spain kick-off party thrown by the award-winning chef José Andrés. The Spanish fete hosted the who's who of food and booze at a 13,167 square-foot mansion set on 40 acres of prime Aspen real estate. Currently on the market for $17,900,000, the 7 bedroom, 9 bath home features exposed steel, massive timbers, and multiple modern fireplaces that kept party goers warm. The outdoor entertaining area was nothing short of over-the-top, with fire pits, illuminated water features, and a flat grassy area that proved a photo-worthy backdrop for a stunning pink Aspen sunset. Add some awesome food, wines like the well-balanced Vallegarcia Hipperia, a Bordeaux style blend that maintains a bit of Spanish flair, and this was an epic way to start off FOOD & WINE 2014.
