On June 6th, the Louvre will debut a redesign of its 18th century decorative galleries, which have undergone a privately funded $33M restoration. Comprised of 2,200 pieces and spread across 23,000-square-feet, the new display promises a 35-room "extravaganza of gold, precious woodcarvings, silverware, and tapestries."
