Breaking: Small Plane Crashes At Loveland Ski Area in CO

UPDATED at 8:52 am MT on 7/1/2014: According to 9News, a single-engine plane trying to make its way through a valley at the Loveland Ski area made a hard left turn and crashed, killing three people inside the aircraft. The plane crashed near the top of the Chair 5 lift line but did not damage the lift.

Denver's 9 News is reporting that a small plane crashed Monday morning at 9:00 am at Loveland Ski Area in Colorado. The local ski area, known for its early opening and convenient location about 75 minutes from Denver, is adjacent to the Eisenhower Tunnel and Interstate 70. According to 9 News, the wreckage is on the ski property, rescue and emergency crews are on the scene, and the Loveland ski patrol is also aiding in the rescue.
