Come Stroll Through Martha Stewart's Utterly Perfect Gardens

New, 1 comment

Considering that every last thing decorating doyenne Martha Stewart touches turns to tasteful, charmingly-appointed gold (besides maybe Apple products,) it's no surprise that the luscious gardens at her Bedford, N.Y. compound are spectacularly grand and, of course, obsessively attended to. Only occasionally photographed—recently from a far—the grounds offer groves of apple trees, a "long pergola to follow the curve of the drive" that Martha designed herself, exotic flowers from Asia, and even ponies and chickens. With the help of her right hand man and "master pruner," whom she describes as "wearing a humorous, but practical umbrella hat," the entire estate is, in Martha's words, "weed-free and tidy" and "exquisite."
