The South Shore of Lake Tahoe will be adding a new party hotel this winter as the former Horizon casino is transformed into the Hard Rock Lake Tahoe. A $60 million revamp will remodel all 539 rooms, the gaming area, and add a huge outdoor pool area. The property plans to be open for the 2014-2015 ski season.
