A Graphic History of Design, From Powder Pink Sofas On

Illustrations via Harvey Water Softeners

Spotted by way of Co.Design: an illustrated chronicle of home design offering minimalist drawings of living rooms from the 1950s (the epoch of Danish designers and powder pink sofas) through the lava lamps of the '70s and the Ikea ubiquity of the '00s. Though it's not as detailed as the visual design history offered by, say, seven decades of fake Ikea apartments, there's an allure in the cutesy minimalism of it all. Have a look, below.
