Since the state legalized marijuana, Colorado ski towns have plenty of pot shops (just check out this map) catering to visitors and locals alike. And pot tourism (even pot friendly lodging) is booming. But the city of Aspen has gone above and beyond, installing a marijuana "amnesty" box at the Aspen-Pitkin Country Airport. The box, which has been in operation since February, allows fliers who forget they have cannabis a way to dispose of the product with no questions asked by the authorities. A recent emptying of the box revealed five bottles of infused drinks, a couple of pipes, edibles, and several containers of leafy pot. All of the items are trashed.
