"Like being on a ship!" So begins the brokerbabble for Provincetown's Boathouse, an East End condo that's been on the prow(l) for a buyer since 2011.
We wrote about the 487-square-footer in May 2013 when the 1BR, 1BA was asking a rather odd $729,300, but the listing first appeared on the market in May 2011 with a $735,000 price tag. To refresh, the year-round unit sits directly on Cape Cod Bay and features views on three sides, a wood burning fireplace, parking, a private deck, and a strong rental history. Three years of bouncing on and off the market (with broker changes, naturally) has resulted in four pricechops and one priceupper, leaving the ask for the "one of a kind property" that "juts out over the water" at $645,000. That makes the current ask $40,000 less than the seller paid for the circa 1900 spread back in the housing market's bubblicious go-go days of 2005.
