It's 1980. Whistler Mountain has been open for 15 years, and Blackcomb Mountain debuts on December 6 along with the newly constructed Whistler Village. Everyone's jamming out to Blondie, Pink Floyd, and of course Michael Jackson (and the who's who of music are recording in this Colorado mountain chalet). Reds and bright yellows still dominate ski fashion, but don't worry, the neon and headbands are coming. There's no Peak Express, or Showcase T-Bar, and people would have thought the Peak 2 Peak Gondola was damn near impossible to imagine. The lift lines are short, the skiing is awesome, and this- Whistler Blackcomb- is your ski map.
