Huge portions of the Vrátna ski resort in northern Slovakia have been destroyed by a flood and subsequent rockslide. The ski area used to have 14 lifts in total with about 9 miles of ski runs. Although not all parts of the property were affected, it looks like the natural disaster destroyed the base area and the gondola. There's very little news online about the rockslide, but Vrátna did post the following photos to their Facebook account. The ski area's latest posts show big machinery unburying the base area.
