A new $2.35 million project aims to create an alpine skiing training venue on the lower slopes of Mount Werner in Steamboat Springs. The project is the result of a partnership between the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club and the Steamboat Ski Area, and will build a slalom and giant slalom racing area tucked between the See Me run and the rarely used Christie III chairlift. Construction should begin in spring 2015. [Steamboat Today]
