The Chicago Tribune recently created an Instagram account dedicated to old black-and-white photos dredged up from its archives. The collection offers a peek into decades, fashions, superstars, and architecture gone by: Richard Nixon outside the newspaper's headquarters, the breath-taking midcentury gem that is Meigs Field terminal in 1965, the Congress Hotel in 1934, and so much more. Curbed Chicago has some of the best architecture-based shots. Above? That would be the Tribune Tower, under construction in 1924.
