There's a Missile in Front of This Sleek Hollywood Hills House

Have a nomination for a jaw-dropping listing that would make a mighty fine House of the Day? Get thee to the tipline and send us your suggestions. We'd love to see what you've got.

Location: Los Angeles, Calif.
Price: $2,295,000
The Skinny: This custom-built spec home atop the Hollywood Hills has all the amenities you might expect, plus one you probably would not: a sculpture of a missile plunging to the earth, complete with fire shooting out of its tail. Located just west of Laurel Canyon, this sleek three-bedroom home is made of industrial materials—which makes sense considering the finishes were done by an industrial designer—and boasts 180-degree views of downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood, and the Hills. The poured concrete walls of the interior display a bevy of lexicographic art; there's a floor-to-ceiling glass-enclosed fire wall, and the chef's kitchen is outfitted with Caesar stone counter tops and Spanish Porcelanosa tiles. Fleetwood doors and glass walls abound, the bathrooms are marble, and the whole thing is controlled from a central "smart home" system. Super broker Josh Altman of Hilton and Hyland (and Million Dollar Listing) is doing the wheeling and dealing, trying to get asking $2.995M for all of the house's contemporary nonsense flair.
