Skiers and snowboarders don't just love the snow, they also love the mountains. And while this video by Tim Marshall and Melody Woodnutt may be a bit nerdy, it's also a gorgeous look at the birth, life, and death of our precious peaks. Called the Weight of Mountains, the film travels to Iceland to capture its dramatic and treacherous landscape. Per the film, "Despite their great size and age, [mountains] lives pan out in much the same way that a living creature's does: They have a beginning, a middle, and an end, and as such, the life of a mountain mimics our own — it is a life that carries the weight of being and anticipation of sadness that one day things will change."
