Congress just released a report called "A Five Star Folly" criticizing Frank Gehry's embattled and eviscerated Eisenhower Memorial. The report doesn't meander around the point, detailing the design's "repeated failure to satisfy all legal requirements [and] the unanticipated costs and delays due to controversial elements of the selected design." Is this, at long last, the final nail in the coffin for the memorial, which the Eisenhower family once said was akin to "chain-link fences at a Nazi concentration camp"? Who knows anymore.
