Real Housewives of New Jersey's Teresa Giudice—an Italian cookbook author and very tan person who also serves as the show's most infamous table thrower—just quietly listed her mansion in Towaco, New Jersey, for $3.99M. Some may be surprised she even still owns the house, and for good reason: in 2010, the 16-room xanadu was briefly listed, all of her belongings were auctioned off, and Gawker made sure every internet-conscious individual knew the details. Giudice and her husband—who were at one point as much as $11M in debt—reported their annual income as $79,000, which does not a marble castle make. It may be also appropriate to mention that this behemoth emotionally ravaged a woman on national TV, broke apart her family, and became a larger metaphor for the housing bubble.
Bought in 2002 for $530K, the house sits on 3.5 acres of prime Jersey real estate and includes such amenities as a Bratz doll mural, a "wine room," six bathrooms, a porte-cochère, two ponds, a breakfast bar, a two-story "great room" with a fireplace, a waterfall, and a grand staircase that begs for prom photos to be taken upon it. The bedroom looks like the Virgin Mary is on the cusp of conceiving the second coming of Christ within it, the bathtub has Grecian columns, while the garage can fit as many cars as the house can fit bottles of wine. Now, take everything listed above and add the phrase "covered in marble" to the end and it's a decent description of Teresa Giudice's house. Built in the Rococo style by people who arguably don't know what that is, the house features six turrets and three bodies of water.
