After much anticipation, the very first renderings of starchitect Jeanne Gang's new residential tower for the Miami Design District are here, showing off an angular, lantern-like shape. Called the Sweetbird South Residences, the the certified genius' building will encompass 76 condos, 20,000 square feet of retail stores, and 114 parking spaces, all spanned across five stories and topped out at 199-feet-high. According to exMiami, special approval from the city will need to be granted for the project, as its balconies "overhang beyond the property line into the public right-of-way." Check it out, below:
