Starchitect Jean Nouvel's much-anticipated Tower Verre is finally moving along, as the developer just took out—coughchokegasp—an $860M loan, $85.3M of which was used to buy air rights from the neighboring buildings. At long last, an encouraging sign from the 82-story tower, which has faced a slew of hold-ups since its initial proposal in 2007—as well as a few sizable financial bumps. When it's done, Tower Verre will house 145 apartments and three floors of MoMA gallery space. [Arch Daily; previously]
