Suburban Chicago's Grooviest Home Seeks a Suave Caveman

New, 6 comments

Like other standout examples of residential organic modernism, this $1.15M Park Ridge five-bedroom looks more than a bit like a carved-out mushroom cap. A cigar-smoking Fred Flintstone in a tuxedo-pelt would look right at home in the living room. So would the late Dick Clark, given what's known about his taste in architecture.

According to the listing, the architect was someone that goes by the name "Ballisimo." If this mysterious designer is still around, let's just hope he's a fan of leopard-print carpeting; an entire bedroom in his masterpiece is covered in it.
