Now You Can Buy London's 'Scotland Yard' for $410M

Greater London's Metropolitan Police Service is sizing down and moving on to smaller headquarters, and now the force's longtime-hub, an office block near Victoria station, is on the market for £250M, or roughly $410M. The building has housed the Met since 1967, and has since taken the nickname Scotland Yard, named after the police force's original headquarters built on a road named, uh, Great Scotland Yard. $410M may sound like a lot, but it's certainly not the craziest ask of all time—after all, London is considered the most expensive city in the world and, what's more, developers are trying to drum up interest in a Monaco penthouse that is actually much more expensive.
