Spotted by way of Curbed NY is this "totally livable" 242-square-foot apartment in NYC's West Village. Once a dormitory for Hudson River dockworkers, the two-person dwelling boasts closets (a relative rarity in New York City), a "storage nook," and other renovations designed to maximize space and (quaint, semi-hipster) comfort. "We agreed to renovate and maximize the space," the owner says. "If one if us said the safe word, I would put the apartment on the market the next day. But no one said it. We forget what the word was."
