Curbed Ski has a thing for ice castles. Big or small, these magical frozen wonderlands are a great place to drink spiked hot chocolate on a winter night. We've featured ice castles before on the site, and this year the best ice castle builders around are busy constructing castles in Utah, Minnesota, Vermont, and New Hampshire. In Vermont, the ice castle is located in Stratton's Sun Bowl and spans a whopping two acres of giant archways, icy mazes, waterfalls, and tunnels, all crafted using only icicles and water. We've got a video of what the castle looks like under construction, and a photo gallery of some of the best pics.
