Location: Webster Grove, Missouri
Price: $1,999,000
One of the St. Louis area's stately, Clue-reminiscent Tudor Revival mansions has been put up for sale after a round of updates. Last unloaded in 2011 for $1,325,000, this 7,058-square-foot home is back for $1,999,000. UPDATE: Photos are down now. Check 'em out here.
According to the listing site, updates to this Webster Grove six-bedroom include "newer kitchens, baths, refinished millwork," and "refurbished fireplaces & mantles." Built back in 1902, the stone mansion is now "equipped with automated lighting, video and audio systems." No word on whether the blue-painted wrought-iron staircase leading down from the sunroom is new, but it's one sort of kooky highlight in what's otherwise a pretty subdued-looking renovation.
Apart from the large back patio, other features on the 1.1-acre grounds include a pool with a hot tub and a "dedicated kitchen at pool level," a tennis court, and a seven-car garage.
