We know absolutely nothing about the personal habits of Martha Hoxie (1735-1818), but her eponymous Sandwich home sure does get around.
Much like the Edgartown abode we wrote about last year, the circa 1710 Martha Hoxie House been moved not once, but twice in its 310 year history. In addition, the listing assures that the much-published 2BR, 1BA bow house "has been the subject of interest for many artist and historian alike." Case in point, a floorplan courtesy of the Library of Congress:
These days, the antique-stuffed 1,500-square-footer is requesting a new owner for its original panelling, pumpkin flooring, and horse-hair plaster walls. The 1.98 acre property hit the market way back in October 2013 and has been looking for $599,950 ever since.
