Miami's Airport Now Has This Trippy 'Waterfall of Colors'

New, 1 comment

The third level of Miami International Airport is now home to a psychedelic ceiling installation depicting "oozing patterns" by the local artist Jen Stark. Located next to the moving walkway between the otherwise bland terminals D and E, the new permanent mural, called "Meltdown," is an unabashedly trippy design for travelers who might be having meltdowns of their own after airport security or long flights. Stark, who was inspired by fractals and microscopic designs in nature, describes her work as "a waterfall of colors." It certainly breaks up the hallway's colorless monotony in a playful way, although it remains to be seen whether it makes travelers feel more relaxed.
