Vermont City Gets 1st Ski Simulator on East Coast

New, 1 comment

South Burlington is about a half-hour away from the closest ski area and only an hour from Stowe Mountain Resort, but the Vermont town recently added some virtual slopes to the mix with a ski and snowboard simulator. Touted as the first such simulator on the East Coast, the machine looks like a sideways treadmill with skis attached. Gonzo's HD Sports, which installed the SkyTechSport simulator, views it as an opportunity to branch out beyond indoor golf.

While we're always going to prefer real turns to simulated, we wouldn't mind taking it for a spin during the offseason. Who knows, maybe this could figure into a pre-season training plan. Luckily, you can use your own boots.
