Maine's Sunday River Plans to Open Monday

Sunday River is planning on starting its winter season this Monday, that is, if the weather holds out. The Maine ski resort was one of the first to test its snow guns in late September, and now it might be one of the first ski areas to open this year. The plans all hinge on temps staying cool and the snowmaking team pulling it off by Monday. If it's a go, Sunday River should have the T2 trail on upper Locke Mountain open, with lifts spinning at 9 a.m. Tickets will be $29. After Monday, the resort will only be open weekends until mid-November.
