While many folks seem to turn to prefabs for customizable housing that can be more affordable than traditional construction, others have embraced prefab construction for some rather swanky residences. Such is the case with this high-end prefab for sale in Tilehurst, England. Designed by architect Peter Huf of Huf Haus, the leading German purveyor of eco-conscious prefab homes, this 2003-built three bedroom abode has just listed for about $1.5M.
The three-floor, roughly 3,000-square-foot abode features the standard Huf Haus fare, which means steel beams, airy interiors, open-tread staircases, and glass walls throughout. But this particular property looks cozier and better adjusted than some other Huf homes we've seen. For one, the rear garden is lovely.
