These Photos of Abandoned World War II Fortifications Are Haunting

New, 1 comment

Photographer Marc Wilson has been traveling around Northern Europe's coastlines for the past few years, shooting photos of the former military structures that were once used as fortifications during World War II. Most have been partially sunken, eroded, or grown over—at this point, they seem oddly integrated with the natural environment—and they all have an eerie quality that is likely to stick in your mind.
