Judge: Forest Service Has to Release More Wolf Creek Documents

It looks like more documents and information about a controversial land swap in Southern Colorado are going to come out after a federal judge told the U.S. Forest Service it violated open records laws. The land swap is part of the plan to build the Village at Wolf Creek, a 30-year saga that is delayed anyway because of a federal lawsuit to stop development altogether. The judge ruled that the Forest Service didn't have a good reason for withholding thousands of pages of documents and gave the agency until Oct. 30 to come up with the goods.
