Someone has been cutting down trees in New Mexico's Pecos Wilderness, and the U.S. Forest Service service is offering $5,000 for information that leads to the bandits being captured. The felled trees were found north of Santa Fe Ski Area, leading some to surmise that they were cut for illegal ski runs. According to First Tracks, Forest Service officials think the trees were cut over the course of about three years. Unlawfully felling a tree on Forest Service land is a federal crime. Know something?
