This rural vacation home designed by Swiss firm Evolution Design may be the cutest converted chapel we've seen yet. Located in the unblemished English countryside, the circa-1880s structure had sat vacant and crumbling for years until it was recently turned into a holiday home that accommodates seven people.

Determined to create a modern home with traditional flair, the design team preserved and restored plenty of original features (High ceilings! Gothic windows! Timber trusses!) while adding understated contemporary furnishings with an emphasis on rustic, wooden touches.
