The master developer of the Snowmass Base Village project, Related Colorado, mysteriously dismissed one of its partners last week just as the project received approval to move into its final stages. Sunrise Co. was set to develop two buildings in the new base village, with a Snowmass native as the project manager, but Sunrise got a call from Related Colorado on Oct. 1 informing them the company was out. Now, members of Snowmass' local government, some whom supported the base village project because of Sunrise's ties to the area, want answers about the cause and timing of this sudden dismissal.
