Anderson Cooper Offers a Peek Into His NYC Firehouse

Anderson Cooper has kept the interiors of his charming Greenwich Village firehouse-turned-private residence under lock and key—literally—but the CNN anchor has finally swung open his big black door. By way of a cheeky H&M advertising campaign starring David Beckham and Kevin Hart comes some tantalizing glimpses into the 1906 firehouse at 84 West 3rd Street. After Cooper purchased the sprawling building in 2010 for $4.3 million, he tapped architect Cary Tamarkin to lead an overhaul of the Beaux Arts building's interiors. Charming original details like its brass firepole can still be found in the house, and Cooper himself brought a 19th-century gym to the building.
