The trend of early-openings at ski areas continues. After a recent storm brought plenty of snow to Colorado, Aspen Snowmass just announced that Aspen Mountain will open for a special preview weekend Saturday and Sunday, November 14 and 15, twelve days earlier than the scheduled opening on Thanksgiving Day, November 26. Daily operations on Ajax and Snowmass kick off on November 21. Up north, Whistler Blackcomb has also announced an early opening. Whistler Mountain will be opening one week ahead of schedule on Thursday, November 19 with five lifts. Get out there! Winter is here.
