The stylish long-time home of award-winning actor and gun advocate Charlton Heston is due to formally hit the market tomorrow—the house in Coldwater Canyon was designed for the Ben-Hur star in 1959 by architect William S. Beckett, who kicked off his career as the chief designer for Sumner Spaulding (the architect behind Case Study House #2). The Heston house has been "the private residence of the Heston family" since its completion; though the patriarch died in 2008, a trust in his name still appears on property records for the estate.
