Architectural firm Spark presented this concept at the 2015 World Architecture Festival in Singapore this month, and was named one of the winners in the Future- Experimental Project category. The idea is a retirement community combined with a vertical urban farm, the idea being that the residents would be given part time employment (if they wanted it), self-sufficiency, and a sense of community, while providing much needed fresh produce to surrounding areas.
