Copenhagen Is Suspending a Bike Path 200 Feet Over the Water

New, 1 comment

Cycling advocates want bike lanes to be everywhere, but we can't imagine who on earth actually wants a bike path suspended between two skyscrapers 213 feet above the sea. Believe it or not, that is exactly what architect Stephen Holl is planning for his Copenhagen Gate project, which is set to begin construction in 2016. Be careful what you wish for, cycling advocates. What's next—a bike lane that goes straight through an active volcano? No thank you to this bike lane.
