Eldora Mountain Resort Appeals Forest Service Decision

After the Forest Service denied part of Eldora Mountain Resort's expansion plans in early October, this week the ski area is appealing that decision. While the Forest Service allowed Eldora to make the upgrades it wanted, it stipulated that those upgrades would have to be within the ski area's current boundaries. Eldora's appeal says that it needs to expand its boundaries by about 88 acres in order to increase its vertical terrain from 1,600 feet to 2,000 feet.
